Tekno Ray Solar has opened Türkiye’s largest solar power plant with a total power capacity of 22.5 megawatts in the Central Anatolian province of Konya together with its Italian partner, Enerray.

The power plant, which has an initial production capacity of 18.5 MW, will meet the electricity demand of more than 20,000 households.

A total of 74,106 solar power panels were used in the power plant, which is located on a 430,000-square-meter plot of land.

Tekno Group CEO Altay Coşkunoğlu stated that; “The Konya Kızören Solar Power Plant is the biggest of its kind of Türkiye. We believe that solar energy will grow rapidly in our country.”

Atound 400 people worked to build the power plant over the last eight months.

The Konya Kızören plant will help prevent an average of 18,000 tons of CO2 emissions every year.
