The construction of Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the third bridge over the Bosporus, being built to ease Istanbul’s traffic, is continuing at full speed,
the concrete towers on both sides have risen around 304.5 meters and the disassembly work of temporary scaffolds continues. The bridge, which will unite the two sides of the Bosporus, is expected to become operational in the first half of 2016.
Currently at the construction site there are 200 Turkish and 400 South Korean workers and they have built good friendships.
While the concrete for the anchorage block has been completed, the assembly of the main cable continues. The tower saddle and distribution saddles has been constructed and the assemblies are complete. Catwalks and cable bands have been manufactured and delivered to the construction site.
