The Turkish labor system allows many different types of contracts (permanent, temporary, part time, trail period,) that give flexibility to the employer while defending the workers’ rights.
The regular working hours are 45 per week with a limit of 270 overtime hours per year that can be paid or replaced by 1.5 hours of freetime.
There are 8 paid public and religious holidays per year and a vacation period, after the first year is completed, that varies between 14 and 26 working days depending on the years the employee has worked in the company.
Employer may terminate an indefinite Contract by means of a notification period that will vary depending how long the employee has worked in the Company. The severance package will also be calculated according to the seniority of the Employee in the Company.
